The value of this property can only be changed when bt.advertise = 0 — NO.
Note that your smartphone (central device) will typically cache advertising data. On iOS, restarting the iOS device will clear the advertising cache. On Android, you can clear the Bluetooth cache via the settings (plus, some applications allow scanning without caching).
