Introduction
The WA1000 is a companion 802.11b module with SPI interface. The WA1000 is a slave module; as such, it must be controlled by a "master" device, such as the EM1000 BASIC-programmable embedded module. The WA1000 further expands the scope of potential EM1000 applications by adding Wi-Fi communications capability to the already powerful programmable environment.
Hardware features
| • | Implements 802.11b wireless interface (802.11g version under development). |
| • | Intended to be used with the EM1000 BASIC-programmable embedded module (and other future Tibbo devices). |
| • | Compact dimensions (37.0 x 25.0 x 6.0 mm). |
| • | Chip antenna onboard, coaxial connector (I-PEX MHF) for external antenna. |
| • | Internal power switch allows turning the WA1000 off completely. |
| • | Installation options(1): |
- On top of the EM1000;
- Directly on the host PCB.
