The DS1000, DS1001, and DS1002 BASIC-programmable controllers offer four serial ports. The difference between these three controller models as in the type of serial ports provided:
| • | The DS1000 has 4 simple RS232 serial ports; |
| • | The DS1001 has 4 non-isolated universal RS232/422/485 serial ports; |
| • | The DS1002 has 4 electrically isolated RS232/422/485 serial ports; |
The DS1000, DS1001, and DS1002 devices are based on the following internal boards:
| • | The IB1000, IB1001, or IB1002 serial port board (for the DS1000, DS1001, and DS1002 respectively) with the LB1001 LED board attached. |
